We are proud to announce the winner of the Baden-Powell District Eagle Scout Project of the Year is Kyle Bloomer. Kyle will receive a $500 scholarship.
Kyle’s project will now be in the running for the Last Frontier Council Project of the Year.

BADEN-POWELL DISTRICT EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT OF THE YEAR
The Baden-Powell District is proud to announce that we will be awarding the Baden-Powell District Eagle Scout Project of the Year to one deserving Eagle Scout. The award recipient will receive a $500 educational scholarship, which has been made possible by the generosity of our District’s own Phil and Alice Pippin. You may apply for the scholarship if you satisfy these requirements:
- You have completed your final Eagle Scout Board of Review and received your approved paperwork from the BSA National Office;
- Your final Eagle Scout Board of Review occurred between September 1, 2013 and August 31, 2014; and
- You submit the completed scholarship application to the District on or before September 27, 2014.

The award recipient will be selected by a committee, based on the same criteria used by the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) to award the Adams National Eagle Scout Service Project Award. The award recipient will also be considered by the Last Frontier Council’s NESA Committee for the Council’s Eagle Scout Project of the Year, which awards one additional $1,000 scholarship.

The Kiwanis Club is looking for a unit to perform a flag ceremony on September 11, 2014 at 6:30pm. The event will be held at the Petroleum Club at 100 N Broadway Ave in Oklahoma City.

Troops: Scoutmasters, this event is a fabulous recruitment opportunity. It exposes the Webelos Scouts of B-P District to Boy Scouting and your Troop. Troops should arrive NO EARLIER than 5 p.m. to set-up. Activities should be led by the youth of your troop. Set up time is non-negotiable.
Webelos: Please plan to bring your Webelos at 7:00 p.m.. This event allows one-on-one contact with the Scoutmasters and the Troops of B-P District. Your Webelos will meet and interact with Boy Scouts from the various Troops and discover, through the Scouts’ activities, the wondrous adventures that await them in Scouting.
No power and no water. Please park in church parking lot.

The Baden-Powell District is on need of Boy Scout and adult volunteers to help put together Cub Scout Recruiting packets This will be Thursday July 31 at 6:30 pm at the Council Office. Dinner will be provided (pizza plus salad for those who want to eat healthier).
Violunteers would be needed for 1.5 to 2 hours – depending on how many volunteers come to help.
