Encampment Postponed

As Scouters, one of our primary responsibilities is to the safety of our Scouts. With the multitude of weather forecasts having a very high probability of unsafe travel conditions this coming weekend, the decision has been made to reschedule the BP Encampment. The new date is March 7 – 9, 2014.

Your original registration secures your spot, and there is no additional work required of you at this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you in Chandler in a few short weeks!

2014 Baden-Powell District Pinewood Derby

Presented by Kittakima Chapter, Order of the Arrow


Who:                                    Any Scout in the Baden-Powell District regardless of how your                                                 car performed in your Pack’s race.  If you have a car bring it and race it!

 Where:                                  Oklahoma City Scout Office- 2nd Floor 3031 NW 64th St, OKC

When:                                   Saturday, February 22nd 

Registration:                        8:30 AM to 9:00 AM

Races:                                    9:15 AM

Cost:                                       $3 per racer (register and pay at the door)

Divisions:                              Cub Scout and Open (anyone)

 Official Pinewood Derby Rules will apply to all divisions

2014 District-wide Crossover


WHEN:  Saturday, March 1, 2014

WHERE:  Camp DaKaNi, 3309 E Hefner Rd, Oklahoma City

TIME:  5:00




  •  4:30PM – All Webelos Dens and Troops participating report to Nature Center with complete lists of Webelos Scouts and what Troop they are going to. Scouts will be lined up by the Troop that they are entering.
  • 5:00PM – Order of the Arrow Guides will lead participants and guests into the Council Ring.
  • 6:00PM – Ceremony completed. Troops will take charge of their new Scouts and move on to the reception.


  • Dress appropriately for the March weather.
  • Seating is limited, so bring your own chairs.
  • Be sure the Webelos Scouts have coordinated or completed an application with the appropriate Troop so they are aware that the Scout is crossing to them that night.
  • All Webelos Dens and Troops participating must coordinate with the Program Director by Wednesday, February 26, 2014. A list of Webelos Scouts and what Troop they are crossing to should also be given to the Program Director by that day.
  • In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony may be moved. Check with the Program Director between 1:00 and 3:00PM, if you have not already been informed of the decision.
